Monday I was so excited that we’d be starting new units! The day went NOTHING like I’d imagined.
It seemed like things were falling apart every time I turned around. We had a stellar wild Kratts intro to Primates, wrote our first KWO for IEW on Noah and Molly started her final draft of her piano piece.
Tennis and piano went well this week and we managed to get tacos for lunch ON TACO TUESDAY. We returned library books and finished the first spinjitzu brothers chapter book.
Wednesday we started our Egypt unit and read about the location and major landforms in Egypt. Then on a whim we made a giant cookie map. It turned out to be such a great activity. We finished Percy Jackson book 4 and are a little sad to be starting the last book. The boys both worked on cutting skills in Math looking for 3D shapes and sizing. Then church where Molly shared some of her experiences in apologetics and she felt pretty empowered. #Proudmommoment
We went for passports but that didn’t go as planned. The boys and Mallory and I went to a new park in Lampassas and walked in the waterway. It was a fun little park. There was bounce house time and a more laid back bookwork day. Reading, writing, math and Bible were all done on the couch.
Grandpa rusty came for a
Visit and everyone went to play golf. It was a nice chance to be outside and have some fun trying something new for the boys. We finished the month at 84 hours. Played ALOT of tenzie which we are all
Loving and cannot wait to get all
Moved into our classroom.
